2025 Chorus Auditions:
Performance Date: Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 7:30pm
Rehearsals Start: Late July 2025
Seeking: All Vocal Types
Open Auditions: Wednesday, April 30, 2025, 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Location: DeYor Performing Arts Center
Those wishing to audition should be prepared to perform one short French Art song, songs in English or Italian are also acceptable.

OWR EMERGING ARTISTS
EMERGING ARTISTS OF THE 2023-2024 SEASON:
- Soprano, Mezzo, Tenor, Baritone, and Bass-Baritone voice types
- Main Stage Roles: Mercédès, Le Remendado, Le Dancaïre, Frasquita
- Emerging Artist Roles: Carmen, Don José, Escamillo, Micaela, Frasquita
EMERGING ARTISTS WILL BE FEATURED IN THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMMING FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES:
- A reduced “mini main stage” presentation based on our upcoming production of Carmen on November 17, 2023
- A touring children’s opera in Spring 2024
- Possible other community outreach performances throughout the season
AUDITION REPERTOIRE FOR OWR EMERGING ARTISTS:
- On aria/art song in English
- One aria in French (if possible). Emerging Artist applicants who wish to be considered for the available roles and/or covers in Carmen must include an aria in French
- At least one additional piece from your repertoire
